The times they are a changin’ and a lot of our customers use smart phones or have lap tops and I-pads, so we thought it would be a good idea to provide free Wi-Fi to our customers so they can keep up to date with their daily browsing habits.

I stumbled accross some old photographs of Los Cristianos while “working” on the Facebook page, here’s the best of the pics from Los Cristianos from early 1940’s through to the 70’s and 80’s.

What’s really interesting is the change from banana plantation to commercial tourist zone, I can remember in 1990 there were banana plantations right the way up to Paloma Beach so I’ve seen some changes myself in the time I’ve lived here.

Many past visitors to Paloma Beach Apartments will be familiar with Ian & Angie Wallace who were at the Poolside bar for many years. Now they have decided to start up their own business on the front of Paloma Beach Apartments in the shape of Diamonds Bar.

Angies son Alex has followed them down too so it’s a real family affair.

The decor is modern and clean and the seating is all brand spanking new and comfortable.

I’ve been in for dinner twice now since they opened in May and on both occasions I was more than satisfied. The menu is varied and caters for both vegetarians and meat eaters like myself. It’s nice to see real chips and fresh veg served alongside the delicious main course.

Diamonds Bar is open every day and evening except Tuesdays, even Ian has to take a day off these days!

Yes indeedy! Mick Hucknall and Simply Red will be gracing Tenerife with their presence this summer on July 20th.

The Simply Red concert will take place at The Costa Adeje Golf Course just 10 minutes away from Paloma Beach Apartments.

Ticket prices haven’t been announced yet, presumably money is too tight to mention - ba dum tish!

OMG! The Beach Boys are coming to Tenerife! Yes indeedy! The silver surfers are rocking up in Tenerife on July 7th 2010 in Santa Cruz!

Rumours Restaurant – Quality British fare

Situated at the end of the line of bars underneath the Paloma beach complex, Rumours restaurant is a family run business established since 1996, very popular with regular holidaymakers and resident ex-pat brits.

The reason is simple: It serves excellent, classic British dishes cooked and presented to a very high standard at reasonable prices.

The extensive menu includes Breakfast, snacks, light meals, lunches, evening meals, specials board and A La Carte.

Rumours signature dishes are a must to try, as are all the sauces on the A La Carte menu. Meals are accompanied by three fresh vegetables and potatoes or fresh homemade chips.

The sweets are also made and presented to a very high standard.
