Home sweet home

As Gary says I’ve been enjoying a bit of time off and away from Paloma Beach. Three weeks have passed by fairly quickly - time flys when your having fun I guess - I’ve taken in Galicia in Northern Spain where I’ve had to quickly learn a completly new dialect that sounds a bit like Spanish with your mouth full!

After Galicia it was onto Paris where I did as many touristy bits as possible in 5 days, I managed to visit the Louvre on the one day it’s closed (Tuesday, incase anyone is off there soon)! The Eiffel Tower, The Seine boat trip, Arc du Triumph, Place De Concorde where all duly visited along with a visit to Gary’s family home at Notre Dame (ahem) and then finally the mother of all up stair walks at the Sacre Cour - never again I tells ya!

From there I had to come back via La Coruña,Madrid then Tenerife for 2 days before a week in “Gods Country” for my friends wedding. Then off to see more friends and finally after 3 weeks….Paloma Beach - home.

The one thing I realised after my longest ever holiday was that no matter where I’ve been, London, Paris, New York, Madrid (well, Barajas airport!), I always have this great feeling when I see Tenerife from the window of the plane, it feels not just like coming home, which it is - but it makes me realise how lucky i am living in Tenerife. i also wonder how many other people feel that good when their holidays come to an end!
